We are very excited about our new teepee which has been designed with a child with special needs in mind. It is designed to provide a calm and safe space when their world becomes overwhelming. With input from the staff at the local Autism unit, we have adapted our standard teepee but it really doesn't look any different. These little tweaks make a world of difference as they limit the view of the outside world creating a safe, secluded and desensitising space when that special child needs it.

The window frame appears on the outside of the teepee but the panes are not cut out.

A cowl sits on top of the poles which have been shortened.
